Fibromyalgia What Does It Mean In My Life

Introducing my new book:

FIBROMYALGIA WHAT DOES IT MEAN IN MY LIFE

I have suffered from Fibromyalgia for the last 10 years and during all that time,  I have encountered many obstacles, debilitating symptoms and life changing circumstances. These encumbrances have propelled me to become stronger to come up with some empowering ways and philosophies to help me take my life back.  The coping mechanisms which I have incorporated into my lifestyle work quite well for me so I want to share them with as many people as possible.

My book explains,  following  my story which tells of how I developed Fibromyalgia,  how they are integrated in my day-to-day routine and I know the book will lift your spirit and empower you to do the same with your life.

About the book:

You will find between these covers the story of Adrienne’s life, her encounter with Fibromyalgia, how it happened, her reaction to the illness, her fight to get help from the medical field and government sectors responsible for the welfare of its citizens and you will discover the strength of resolution and her joyous spirit that gives her life fulfillment and happiness with tools and tips to help you take your life back.

About the Author:

She writes with openness and honesty of her experiences before and since contracting the illness.   She is not afraid to tell it like it is sharing not only the bad experiences but also the good moments as well. She will not only show you her weaknesses she will also share her triumphant ways of awakening her inner powers so you can empower yourself as she does.

Comments:

Through thick and thin this woman has overcome challenges, downfalls and pain daily but Adrienne greets each day and those she meets with a beautiful smile, words of encouragement and her tenacious spirit!
I am honored to be her friend, enlightened by her fresh and happy attitude to life and so pleased that she has been able to put her past, pain and experiences into words. May her words lift you up in your times of pain, allow you to feel comfort and be able to deal with each day. Her words will help you to see that there is a happy and fulfilling life for you to live if you wish to reach out and live it to the fullest!
Thank you Adrienne for writing this book! I pray that this book will bring encouragement and hope to those who read it. May you continue to bring smiles and joy to all you meet, accomplish all your dreams, and enjoy all that life has to offer.

“it is honest, thoughtful, straightforward and simply a good story”

I have worked on writing the book for one year.  Though it seems like a long time  at first glance, the fact is that writing about your innermost thoughts, most painful moments,  deepest emotions takes a tremendous toll on you physically and emotionally.  This tends to bring all you thought had been  dealt with and forgotten about to the forefront of your consciousness all over again. You need to give yourself some recovery periods between your writing sessions.  In saying this, the exercise in writing the  book was quite therapeutic in itself as it offered me the opportunity to deal with any small aspects of my feelings left unsettled and the ability to help others at the same time.

You will find this book truthful and honest because my aim is to let people know what the onset of Fibromyalgia in someone’s life can truly cause and how you can manage and  overcome,  by sheer willpower, many of the symptoms not letting yourself fall into the bottomless pit of helplessness and depression.   I want you to know that you are not alone! Won’t you let me help you? The first step is yours to take to help yourself!

It meant so much to me to help people who suffer that I financed this book myself.

My book is published  by  and available for purchase at: www.authorhouse.com Just click on “Bookstore” and once there you can search for the “book title’ or “author name” and you will be able to order a copy.

You will also find the book on other e-bookstores  which sell books all over the world. I have found several already so it is available no matter where you live . Check it out!

I will also hold book signings where you will be able to buy the book on site as well. Information such as  dates for book events will be listed, for your convenience,  on this blog under the “Events” page as soon as they become available.

Wal-Mart, Chapters, Amazon.com and Barns & Nobles will  carry it as well.

Drop me a commentt on what you think of my blog, my book, or anything you have on your mind specially on Fibromyalgia, its symptoms, treatments etc. as I welcome any suggestion and opinions you may have to give. I hope you enjoy the book and that it brings you comfort, hope, some inner peace,  with many of the issues you are facing and ease some of the emotional turmoil you are under. I answer many emotional questions which come to us when we are struck by a chronic illness and I hope you will  find some of the answers you seek.

All my best wishes of good health and spirit to you,

Adrienne

  1. I’m reading about your book and I am looking foreward to purchasing it. I have been living with fibromyalgia for about 15 yrs along with chronic back pain for which I have to have nerve blocks every few mts. I do my best to stay positive but at times it’s very hard and I feel all alone. Thank goodness my sister-in-law who also is dealing with fibro understands and we can talk to each other. My husband is a great help and so are my 3 kids but it’s a struggle. I feel I’m letting them down when I can’t do everything I want to with them. I do things when I feel alright and sometimes over-due it and pay for it after but that’s the life I live. Most doctors don’t fully understand fibro. and I have been told the pain could be from depression, ADHD or something like that. It can be very mind boggling but I go back to things I was taught in Pain Management Clinic.

I’m on Lyrica for the fibro. It helps a bit but it also makes me spacey at times/dizzy which was really hard when I was trying to work. I did decrease it and it doesn’t happen as much, but I question if I should actually even be taking it all. I would like to be taking in extra money to help the family, but right now feel I can’t work because I never know day to day how I will feel and this makes it very hard. I keep thinking one day I will get up and it will be gone ( I wish).

I look forward to reading your book.

    Regards,

    • Hello Linda, you don’t know how much your e-mail sounds just like one I would write myself word for word. I’m so glad you decided to write me a note because it reinforces all the more why I did write it. It’s important for people of all walks of life to understand what we go through and all the opportunities we miss because of those awful times when we just can’t do anything but watch everyone else busily doing all they like to do when they want to do it as much as they want If you are in NS near HRM please come to my book signing on Sunday in Sackville, the address and time ire on my blog in the Events page. You are NOT alone! Please remember that Take care and have a wonderful day.

  2. Your site was extremely interesting, especially since I was searching for thoughts on this subject last Thursday.
